April & Destiny - Disney Mash Up!

Dez-Air’s special collaboration track between April and Destiny combining several different Disney songs into one. The songs in this mash up are: Second Star to the Right with Someday My Prince Will Come, Just Around the Riverbend, When You Wish Upon a Star, A Whole New World, and a Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes. This was a little dub the girls recorded after they finished Starlight Moonlight. Think of this as a special Christmas present two days late.

Victoria & Destiny @ Masquerade Ball

Last year, Destiny and Victoria went to a Masquerade Ball. I thought by starting 2012 off right, we could see some adventures the girls had last year and prepare for an even more exciting year ahead! Victoria’s dress was big enough to hold a person under it. She knows this because she has done this before! <3

Taiyou Con Performance Footage - January 6, 2012

Dez-Air’s April and Victoria performed at Taiyou Con 2012 in Mesa on January 6, 2012. Their performance was in the Kiva A room and this was both girls first time at an anime convention. Let alone, hosting their first panel.

Two CDs were given away at the event via raffle tickets April had purchased earlier at Walmart with a friend. April and Victoria passed out tickets to con guests to see if they were interested in going to their show if there were prizes as an incentive. The CDs were Morning Musume’s Resonant Blue and the Wonder Girls’ So Hot, both in their respective languages.

The setlist for the event showcased each girls’ talent in at least one song. The full setlist is below:

01. Magic Girl - April & Victoria

02. Nobody - April & Victoria

03. 2 Different Tears - April & Victoria

04. Be My Baby Dance Lesson - Taught by Victoria with help by April

05. Be My Baby Dance - Victoria feat. April

06. Love Machine - April feat. Victoria

07. Ma Boy - April & Victoria

08. The Boys - April & Victoria

The show went very well and some of the audience was dancing along to Love Machine. The audience seemed to really enjoy learning the dance to Be My Baby from Victoria after a few brave souls started to learn the dance. The panel ended five minutes earlier than expected, but it was a blast and the girls hope to return next year.

The staff was very helpful and supportive. They were very professional and made sure that everything was set up correctly for the performance. That was a very personable and well thought thing to be especially in such a busy con. Videos for the performances are above this post and we hope you enjoy! <3

The Dj is Mine Preview

Dez-Air’s April and Victoria are collaborating with a singer we met at the talent show we did back in October of last year on a cover of “The Dj is mine.” What do you guys think of the preview?

Victoria's Thoughts

Thoughts of Victoria: April is coming to pick me up in less than 10 minutes so her, Destiny, and I can hang out... I should probably get dressed in normal people clothes...

Behind the Scenes from Sub-Reality!

On the set of Destiny’s short film integrated play piece entitled Sub-Reality. This project is a collaboration between Dez-Air Sub-Leader Destiny and Video Editor for “2 Different Tears” and “Oh Honey!”, Brittani. The artistic piece is based on the definitions between the subconcious and concious levels of the individual during an ordinary day. There will be dreamlike sequences and silhouette dancing provided by none other than our own choreographer Victoria. Victoria and April also share a minor stage role in this integrated work. Destiny is the main actress for this production. The final project should be uploaded on our channel in late April or early May.

Arizona Broadway Theater Review

I recently saw Singing in the Rain at Arizona Broadway Theater this Friday. The performance was outstanding and there was a lot of talent on that stage. The actor who played Don Lockwood had such an amazing vibrato and was able to keep up with all of the tireless dancing he performed in his many numbers especially with Cosmo Brown. The chemistry between the three leads was contagious and fit the mood of the original 1952 picture with Gene Kelly, Donald O’Conner, and Debbie Reynolds.

I thought that all of the actors had very appropriate voices for the time period with just a slight operatic training behind their upbeat tunes. The chorus did not appear many time throughout the show, but when they did it was always a lot of great fun and they had such great flexibility. The supporting characters stole the show at points and made the entertainment of the evening even more enjoyable.

The staff that waited on all of the tables was fantastic and were very attentive to their customers’ needs. I am definently going back to see Sunset Boulevard if I get the chance. Arizona Broadway Theater is a much see venue for great performances and excellent customer service. Also, some nights there is a cabaret style show after the performance where the audience can see the cast perform songs on a more intimate basis.

Behind the Scenes from Sub-Reality!

Another shot from the set of Sub-Reality, Destiny’s integrated short film and performance piece. This time Destiny is shooting a scene riding a horse in the style of a Roman goddess. The full version of the short film will be uploaded onto our YouTube channel in late April or early May.
