Graduations

On December 26, 2010, Lina and Carmen graduated from Dez-Air. We wish them the best of luck in the future in whatever they endeavor to do. They were fun additions to the group, but not everything can work out to be what you want it to be. Instead, we will push forward in the future as a united group, but we will always cherish our memories we had with those two members.

Lina and Carmen will be featured on Dez-Air's first album, Recovery, with "Saying I Love You" serving as their graduation song. Molly from the "Love Love Love" collab will be a featured vocalist on that song. Lina will also still be included in "Nobody," since that is being added on the tracklist of the album.

April, Destiny, and Victoria will do a third music video together since Taylor's schedule demands are hard to work around at this time. The song will be "Magic Girl" originally by After School's Orange Caramel. A set deadline will not be given for when the music video is released. It is just something that will be played by ear since we are in the beginning phases for planning the video out.

There will be no music video for "Saying I Love You," it is just a featured audio track on the upcoming album.

First Episode & Update

First episode of I Heart Life has been released two days later than planned due to aspect ratio problems. The first episode is called Hermione and Luna get Butterbeer'd.

What happens when April and Victoria get knocked over the head and locked in a closet? The unexpected filming of I Heart Life's debut episode takes place. I Heart Life is a unique webshow that explores activities from the world around you that may go undetected. Our mission is to find those things and do them! Simple enough!

Hermione Granger and Luna Lovegood travel from Hogwarts to a muggle's kitchen to show how to make muggle butterbeer. Hermione gets annoyed with Luna midway through and hijinks ensue when she makes Luna play the Lying Down Game. Luna evens meets a household pet mistaking it for a squirrel.

Next episode will be out in November and we want ideas from our viewers for what we should do! So, comment on the video, send us a message on youtube, or leave a comment on the blog.

Oh, My Life - 09.06.2010

Hey all! It's Victoria! I just started college a few weeks ago and it's been pretty crazy. I must say the best lesson any of my high school teachers ever taught me came from my Junior Bio teacher: "Sink or swim". How true that is! It really did help save me form being too timid to navigate the grounds as well as helped me to not get bowled over by the masses of college kids at the big campus (I rotate between the large and small campuses for my classes. It's the same university just different places, if that makes any sense). But outside of strange new class setups (as opposed to high school 'lecture') I've already had tons of adventures! One of the most memorable was the night after my first classes. I spent the night with one of my friends at her dorm (I still live at home for now) and that night Target was having this big promotion for all Uni students. They shut down the whole store to everyone except college students and marked everything 10% off. There were also a lot of free little goodies that were being handed out and even a big goodie bag as you left the store. It was a pretty sweet deal.

Other campus adventures have included wandering around the large campus with friends that are dorming there, having crazy awesome conversations with old friends at the cafeteria, and getting our picture taken while eating Ben and Jerry's by the big fountain. Off campus adventures have consisted of supportive sleepovers with my girls, making fun Dez-Air stuff and planning our next vids, walking from ice skating to Subway to Target to the mall all in one afternoon, and having crazy late night adventures in general. Overall I'll say college life is pretty sweet so far though I guess I haven't made it to finals yet so I probably can't say to much at this point. In other news, I've gotten three letters from my boy so far since he's started his Basic Training for the Army. I've only gotten to send out two and the second one was just mailed this morning, but the first one was 7 and 1/2 pages long so hopefully that makes up for it. April and I are planning more fun days soon you guys so stay posted! Hope you all have wonderful weeks!

Dez-Air celebrated their first anniversary yesterday so two of the members have prepared for two new videos to go on our YouTube channel in celebration of that. Also, the day before our anniversary Destiny launched her new section of the blog detailing her wanderings in Florida. Check it out if you have not done so already!

April is up first with a song cover of "Without a Word" from her favorite drama of all-time, You're Beautiful. As originally sung by Park Shin Hye within the drama. Please enjoy! Victoria's dance cover will be up this coming week. Look forward to that as well! Balloons and confetti for us! Yay!

Adventures in Florida!!! - 09.02.2010

Sooooo...it's been a blast here so far. I've traveled far and distant all the way from Arizona here to the other side of the U.S. in Florida. I've moved into my very first apartment with 5 roommates, who are pretty much awesome. Thankfully, we get along well and there's no drama or anything. FYI: My closet is HUGE! It makes me so happy :D

I can't believe I'm actually living on my own! I have to prepare my own meals, do all my own shopping, take the bus everywhere I go, etc. etc. etc. I'm still getting adjusted, even though it's been like three weeks. I'm growing up!

The weather here in Florida is pretty crazy. It rains like every day and I have to bring an umbrella with me everywhere I go, just in case. But compared to Arizona, it's such a treat! It's so humid here, too, but it still isn't bad here.

My internship here is located at the Magic Kingdom in Tomorrowland as attractions. I love my job! Everyone is super sweet, too. I get in free to all the parks in Disney World, which is pretty much AWESOME. I even get discounts on merchandise.

The reason I started this whole internship is because my dream is to one day work for Disney. I would love to perform as a character or star in one of their shows. I really hope this internship brings me the opportunity to one day go on to do a Professional Internship with the dream career of my choice. We'll see!

I went to Disney World a few times already. I've visited Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and saw Nightastic, which is over for the summer, at the Magic Kingdom!! So much fun!! So, to put it in even cooler words, I've been around the world, starred in a mini show where I was a part of crew on deck and got soaken wet from explosions hitting the water, went through a wild animal hunt in Africa, and watched Tinker Bell light up the sky! I've met Belle and Aurora as well. I think we hit it off pretty well :) It's been pretty amazing here so far, but there's still so much to see and explore!

I can't wait to see what else is in store for me. I'll keep you posted. For now, I wish you a very magical day!

Love,
Destiny

School Days

School days slow the progress of the group, so please be understanding during the school year if we don't post as much videos on our YouTube account. Our blog should be pretty updated with upcoming entries by both Victoria and Destiny. This is the place to be! Please continue to support us as we continue on with our schooling! Ganbatte! ~

VAMPIRES SUCK!

Did you know vampires suck. . .blood? Victoria and April saw Vampires Suck today. It was a very interesting interepretation of the first two Twilight books and how crazy the Twihards can really be.

Overall, it was a very cheesy movie and I personally thought the Lead Actress was better than Kirsten Stewart in the movie. But, that's just my opinion. It integrated popular icons such as Jesery Shore, Kardashians, Alice in Wonderland, and more. A must see for those who like to make fun of Twilight!

This web show at take180.com is a very innovative and interactive idea that allows audiences to be involved with the plot of the story. It is about two fans of a series called Confessions of a High School Vampire who get sent six chapters of the fifth book in the series before it is scheduled to come out. And craziness insues when they post it on the internet.

Every episode runs about 3 minutes and is very addicting. April watched all two seasons in two days. It is that good. Currently, Victoria is on the second episode. Get sucked in <3

What's Up With the Girls

So, the Dez-Air girls have been living it up this weekend and the beginning of this week. Let's break it down day by day. Well, two days.

- Sunday: Lina and April were shopping for shirts for Lina because she ran out of cool new shirts for the fall. They went to about 10 stores and most of the stores had really weird merchandise. Like hippy and hillbilly stuff. No lie! So, it made shopping very difficult. :( We did find six shirts Lina liked a lot though and April showed Lina the importance of pretzel sticks. Yum! Now, I want one of those. Belly rumbles.

- Monday: April and Victoria attend college classes. They met up to discuss a possible other music video with a new member and Lina. They also chereographed Sway, well Victoria did while April started the video over and over. Tis fun.

Keep up to date with the Dez-Airs by subscribing to us at the Tubes! Ciao!

New Member Official & Elizabeth Shows her Skills

About the last entry to clarify, we have added a new member named Taylor who will take Lead Vocals with April on future songs. This is the last member we plan to add to the group. Destiny will be heading to Florida on a school internship and Lina is still very busy so that leaves Dez-Air with a three member group. We can do this.

Expect pictures from 2 Different Tears within the next few days. In the meantime, here is a teaser of Victoria learning the rap break in the dance.

Sunday, July 25, 2010

Filming

We filmed for 6 and a half hours today for 2 Different Tears. We are mostly done and a new member named Taylor will be in this video. Lina is on a hiatus currently due to school coming up. Watch out for clips the next few days!

The Peace Sign & Sample Dance

Tears of joy, tears of pain, like sunshine and rain.

We've been working on the railroad all the live-long day.
Dez-Air has got the majority of the dance done and above is a little preview about the status on 2 Different Tears. You can even see Victoria dancing the chorus of the song after a photo shoot April, Destiny, and Victoria were apart of. April is behind the camera this time.

April has begun mixing the song and it sounds mighty catchy. Yummy! <3

Sunday, July 11, 2010

Progress

I'd say a majority of 2 Different Tears is recorded. It's just a matter of mixing it together which is pretty time consuming.

Love Story has reached #45 on the Soundclick charts. That's pretty fair, but it's gone pretty far up after it reached that point.

We hope you are enjoying your summer and keep cool! It can get really hot at times!

Oh, we are almost done chereographing the dance for 2 Different Tears. We just need to chereograph the rap part and then can start really teaching it to the other members.

Monday, July 5, 2010

Love Story

Last year, April and Destiny recorded "Love Story" a cover of the Taylor Swift song for fun. In January, they visited California and took lots of photos. Put the two together you get a picture slideshow with a duo cover of a song. Niceness!

Also, Victoria was able to record all of her parts for "2 Different Tears."

Saturday, June 12, 2010

2 Different Tears

We will also be working on "2 Different Tears" while Victoria is away at camp during the week. More of recording than anything else, April will take a crack at learning the dance. It's just so catchy we had to add it to our list of things to do.

This is the Wonder Girls music video of "2 Different Tears." It is hilarious and has Bobby Lee from Mad TV in it. That is enough to make it awesome win! Plus, did you know he is shaped like a Pikachu? Go figure!

Who We Are

Hello! We are Dez-Air, an-all girl group made up of four members. We are situated in the United States and do English covers of songs by Korean artists such as Wonder Girls and Girls Generation. We always credit the lyricist when we use their lyrics for our music videos.

During the summer of 2009, April and her friend, Destiny, recorded an English cover of the Wonder Girls' hit song, "Nobody." It was recorded by August and mixed in September of that year. Then, it sat around until the beginning of 2010 when Victoria was added to the group in February initially as a Choreographer which she remains today. The dance was starting to be choreographed for "Nobody" when Destiny realized she could do a music video of "Nobody" for a college video project.

Victoria was casted as the Lead Heroine figure with April and Destiny acting as her best friends. Lina was added last in April of 2010 to act as a friend of Victoria's for the video and has since been considered a full member of Dez-Air. Filming for the music video stretched over a month with several weeks of planning even before then. William acted as the Male Lead with Jessica acting as his temporary Girlfriend in the music video. Destiny wrote the script, filmed the music video, and edited it all together. April mixed the audio for the song and made the making of video featured on our YouTube channel.

Above is Dez-Air's music video for "Nobody" with our own original storyline. It marks the official debut of Dez-Air on May 20, 2010. It has met with a generally positive response and acquired quite a few views on YouTube.

The second video is the making of video for "Nobody." It also features behind-the-scenes footage of a production of "Thoroughly Modern Millie" April and Lina were in at the time. April was Cora/File Clerk/Modern and Lina was Ethel Peas/Mrs. Gershwin/File Clerk/Modern.
